Hi everyone and Merry Christmas. We want to do a short visit late January. Are there any flights from UK(middle not south😉) to Corvera or have we got to Alicante? Tried Google but get the idea that nobody flies to Corvera in the winter!

Planning to view thinking of buying a Rebecca or similar. Are any estate agents offering intro trips?

Thanks John & Di

Hi both,

Yes it depends what you mean by middle uk, we have usually flown from East Midlands or Leeds Bradford but currently no flights are listed, don’t know if anyone knows what’s happening here, it’s not easy to ask Ryanair.

There are flights from Manchester but this may be too far for you, there are no flights to Murcia from Doncaster as I know. I am hoping the East Midlands get listed soon.

Regards estate agents offering info trips, most do on Camposol but when we first came we made our own way for a few days and booked into the La Cumbre hotel in the port. It worked out not too expensive and we didn’t feel tied to any agent etc, however I would advise to contact a couple of the agents and they will show you some properties, that way you can see inside etc and they can fill you in on each area. We didn’t feel subjected to a hard sell but bear in mind they will only show you properties on their books. We didn’t buy on our first visit but it was well worthwhile and gave us time to think on return home. As a rough guide you will pay more the closer to the commercial centre’s and with this in mind you will find Rebecca’s vary in price across the area, in particular if you can walk in to the bars.

We eventually reached a compromise and bought on lower C, this was within budget and we can walk in to the bars although we wouldn’t want to walk any further.

Best wishes with your search and as above be prepared for some compromise and if so there are some great villas for your money and you can spend your free time in the sunshine.

Many thanks. We know the area well as had a couple of years renting Mr Isla plans then went to A day Mr Granada... Cold winters! That's why reconsidering Mazarron to benefit from warmer winters! Also the community as we get older🙄

We are flying to Corvera in December and February - unfortunately we have to fly from Gatwick in December but Stansted in February. Some souls brave the "cold" winter weather - we have a house in Isla Plana.
