Yes joolz55 it's horrible. I have been bitten so badly (with allergy) also last year in december in the north of Spain. And also in Belgium I had a hand twice as big. On monday I will see a doctor for some prescription meds so that it doesn't get so bad anymore. I'm totally against pills, but I have no choice.

There are other products on the market that are DEET free if you don't like or can't use DEET.

They have a different active ingredient.

Picaridin based products such as this http://moskitoguard.co.uk/

Saltidin based products such as this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pyramid-Sensitive-Insect-Mosquito-Repellent/dp/B0084E8E3O/ref=pd_rhf_ee_s_rtpb1_1_25?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0084E8E3O&pd_rd_r=GGATAT8GJSGTCHBK33AH&pd_rd_w=BFCDT&pd_rd_wg=ojXUQ&psc=1&refRID=GGATAT8GJSGTCHBK33AH&tag=cstareg-21

Have a look online at the reviews for the products

I have just returned from Camposol and was bitten to hell, the same as when I visited northern Italy a couple of months ago.  I don't think anyone is to blame (ie council) it is just a world epidemic.  I haven't suffered any long term illness, they dissipated as soon as I returned to the UK (I think it might have been due to my blood cooling down).  I Googled mosquito's and this 'expert' who studied the little creatures recommended wearing closely woven fabric (sports gear - unhelpful in the heat I think) or moving the airflow as they can't fly if there is a wind (ie putting on the ceiling fans).  Nothing I can think of, will stop me returning to my wonderful Camposol.

I have experienced they bite even through clothing ! A fan surely helps but you can't go for a walk with a fan :-) I was told that september and october are the worst months. When we were here from march till end june we didn't have problems with mosquitos. I don't spray anything anymore to prevent the bites because it doesn't work for me. I now use a cream directly after the bite and it prevents from getting thick red, itching bumps. It's "Alergical crema". It really works !

HI,

I wonder if anybody can suggest if or where I can contact a government/or private entity/company  that can help eradicate the mosquitoes on my property, Sector C , compared to last summer 2019 there have been more ferocious and more of them.

Can anybody suggest why ( wet spring ? ) and who can help, please.

Thanks for your time
