Bicycle Hire on Camposol

Hi

I am planning to retire to Camposol in the eighteen months or so and have rented a bungalow on Campsol for two week in September 2018.

I will be arriving at Alicante and using the buses to get to Camposol much as I did last year.

As I don't intend to buy a car when I retire I am planning to use the two weeks checking local transport out more fully to see just how far afield I could comfortably travel the district using it and also check the realities of living on Camposol (shopping, internet, doctors, vets, lawyers etc).

Walking on Camposol doesn't look as though it would be an issue as Google maps indicate that from the furthest area on Sector D to the Commercial areas is only a 50 minute to hour walk however if I was able to hire a bicycle on Camposol I would be able to cover more ground in the time I have there.

So does anyone know there is any cycle hire on Camposol or would I have to get one in Puerto de Mazarron.

Is there a bus from Alicante to Camposol ? I didn't know that !

You wouldn't want to walk from D to B in July and August and back despite what google states.

Thank you for response and although I do regularly walk 15k plus a day whilst on holidays I do appreciate that to do so as part of your daily routine may prove irksome.

This is why I was exploring the possibility of a bicycle or perhaps a moped later on as an alternative to walking everywhere whilst on the urbanisation if I chose to retire to Camposol in a couple of years.

Hi Lydia

It’s not a direct bus from Alicante to Camposol.

Rather the C6 from the airport to Alicante then the bus to Murcia then one on to Puerto and Camposol.

Sounds rather convoluted but quite easily done and much cheaper than a taxi transfer from either Alicante or San Javier airports and if you hit all the timings can be done in about 2/3 hours.

There is a bus from Alicante Airport direct to Murcia bus terminal where you can catch the bus to Mazarron.

Hi

Thank you for your response - yes I have used that bus route for the past couple of years when visiting and it has always been very efficient .

I’m actually on Camposol for two weeks this time rather than bus in daily as I have done previously so was wondering if there was anywhere I would be able to hire a bicycle for the two weeks.
