Hi,

We are looking to buy a property to retire into in Spain. We've visited Murcia in the past and liked it and we have noticed that property in Camposol is inexpensive. I have done some research and I have read some great stuff about Camposol but also some horror stories. Could anyone please give us some advice about the pitfalls that may exist in buying in Camposol and also some information on the good stuff.

We have a place in Catalonia but it is not usable in the winter, it's too cold. The complicated bureaucracy which is unfathomable in the whole of Spain is exacerbated in Catalonia by the fact it is in Catalan. Time to move to Murcia. Please help.

Thank you,

Mark

Hello Mark, Please do not be put off by FFs posts. Sadly he is "keyboard warrior" and writes unhelpfully on various subjects! He also is NOT a permanent Camposol resident.

As has been said by so many, please come and find out yourself by perhaps renting for a short time on Camposol and really experiencing it for yourselves. Stay safe and well.

Well your are getting some positive feedback now .. straight from the horse's mouth ..I think the fellow just said (come a see for yourself ) which is much better advice than the direction I pointed out to you ..about the 2 recent large threads giving you all the information you require ..yes it's a fact that I have owned a villa on Camposol for the last 12 years and I only spend 6 months of the year in Spain so you could say I know a thing or two about Camposol...but I am still trying to work out what part of Mar DeCristal Camposol is in.. another thing is true ..I left my Rose tinted glasses in the UK many years back as I prefer to tell it how it is ..this approach is not always to people's liking ... enjoy Camposol.

We are selling a Rebecca Villa on sector D. its advertised on this site. We bought it off plan in 2002, You need a car yes, but it's the best sector to live on.  We never felt isolated, it must be an individual thing. The villa is prepared for the Spanish climate, AC for the summer and central heating for the winter.  It's easy to adapt a villa for permanent residence, holiday homes are not prepared for what Spain can throw at them.
