Hi

Sadly my mum passed away a few months ago. Once her home is sold I'm hoping to buy a property in Murcia. I can't afford to buy my home here in the UK so would like to buy abroad as a way of securing my own children's future. We are yet to visit Camposol (will be visiting later this year) but this is the area I'm feeling drawn to due to fantastic prices and the community spirit that I have read a lot about. Initially I would be using the villa for holidays for my family but have always dreamt of living abroad so who knows. My boys are 9 years old can you tell me if there is entertainment of sorts there things like playgrounds etc.. Also I've read a bit of conflicting info 're transport.. can you get a bus to Puerto de mazzaron? Or how easy would it be to get a taxi there? Any info would be greatly received.

Sorry to hear about your mum....

No real entertainment for children of that age, but if you buy a property with a pool, I think they will be very happy :-)

I heard there is a bus on sector A that does go to the Puerto.

No legal taxi services on Camposol.

Big supermarket and smaller shops, bars and restaurants.

I just bought a house on sector B and plan to move here permanently next year. Life and people are great here, I never want to leave again !

Firstly buying a property in Spain should not be looked at as making a investment... it is highly likely that even after owning a place in Spain for 10 years or so ...if you decided to sell  you  would loose money ....as for bringing children to Camposol ...this is OK for a short holiday but I would not advise you to move your family to Camposol as the majority of the residents are OAPs ...we don't even have a swing park or any other sort of child friendly area's ...you will need a car on Camposol to get around ...we do have a bus that will take you to the port ..over on A sector but we do not have any internal bus service or Taxi service on Camposol ....good luck .

I think Nessy would live here permanently once her children are adults, for the moment it would be a holiday house like she says

Hi frequent flyer

Thanks for replying appreciate your points.

You make a good point 're losing money however knowing how I can spend I still feel this would be safer than leaving it in a bank/building society where I could dip in and out of it.

I share your views 're living permantly and this will be something that will hold serious consideration when I do buy.

Great news though 're the bus on sector A.

Thanks again for replying much appreciated.

Best wishes

Hi Lydia

I totally agree... a pool would be a necessity..along with WiFi 🤣😁 they would be more than happy.

Are there green areas etc to kick a football around and do you see many children at the restaurants etc?

So glad to hear you are loving your home from home..I'm hoping that if we do decide to buy on camposol to buy on sector b so could be neighbours. Like you I'd probably not want to leave but schooling and commitments in the UK would mean it's a while away for me.

Thanks again and best wishes x

There are lots of open spaces on Camposol and also bike routes. I didn't try it yet but I heard you can go to the beach by bike.

During the school holidays there are children here.

We arrived here on March 18th, have done some work on the house and I'm really not looking forward to go back to Belgium in June. I already feel depressed when I think about it. We have some items to sell and arrange our big move. But end of september we will come back for several months. I think the move will be next spring. I already call Camposol "home" :-)

Thanks Lydia

That's really helpful.. 😁I've also read you can hire bikes so that's something else my boys would love including open spaces for my football obsessed son.

Well one thing is for certain and that is you know you have no doubts at all about making the move.. time goes quickly.and it won't be long before you back again in September then I guess the next time will be the big move! Enjoy the excitement of knowing that everytime a change happens your another step closer to your dream.. so happy for you x

I wouldn't try pedaling a push bike to the nearest beach ....as it takes you a good 20 minutes by car at mostly at 120klm per hour ...so if you tryed to get to the beach by bike it would take you around       2 hrs peddling down hill ...you would have to catch the bus back as it's up hill all the way ...you would have to be nut's or as fit as a butcher's dog to attempt it....good luck anyway enjoy Camposol.

We have E-bikes, wouldn't do it with a normal one :-)
