I've bought plenty of LED bulbs from the Chinese stores, far cheaper than anything in the UK. Your light fittings have to be the screw fitting and not bayonet as used in the UK though.

I don't know where you buy in the UK. I had to get 2 bulbs recently, €10 in the Chinese, £3 in UK.

All the bulbs I've bought in Spain were between 2 and 3€ each, I've not seen anything in the UK that cheap. When I built my last house in England I actually imported all my SMD bulbs from China.(less than £2 each including delivery! Equivalent ones (if you could find them) were £12 each in the UK! In fact at the time English electrical merchants didn't even know what SMD LED bulbs were.
They are starting to come down in price now with the larger demand, but I've not found any as cheap as in Spain. Perhaps you'll let us know where you get yours from, I need a few candle bulbs before the winter.
I do not remember where they came from. A relative picked them up and brought them over.
As for the Chinese shop, all their LED bulbs are the brilliant white ones, they don't do the warm ones.
None of the bulbs I have bought in Spain have lasted, every few weeks I am buying more.
Thanks, here in England the LEDs are reasonably cheap from SCREWFIX, or on line BULBS DIRECT.
I will bring plenty out.

The led light builds are a right rip off in Spain especially in the so called Chinese Bazaars.. In fact everything they sell is over priced all of what they have on offer can be bought much cheaper in the UK ....but then again maybe the Spanish Chinese are buying in the junk from a different more expensive part of China ..than we do in the UK.

Strange, I've not had a problem with any bulbs from the bazaars in Cartegena or at the Port, and they are cheap, and yes you can get warm white. They don't label them as such, you have to look for the Kelvin number, which from memory is about 2700K for warm white. If yours aren't lasting long maybe your electricity supply is unstable!

We are the same, nothing fancy just normal light bulbs we seemed to be forever buying finally started buying in more reputable shops. Regarding Chinese prices, bought a K’Archer workshop vac from Media Mart at Mediterranean Retail Park, Cartagena for 67.95 euros, exact same cac at Chinese Bazaar, Mazarron 129.95 euros!

LED lamps are not all equal. Either here in Spain, or in the UK. Usual thing, research the brands. As I mentioned on here earlier, I was impressed by the choice, service/knowledge & price at Leroy Merlin. There are claims on the packaging as to lamp life, so it's very easy to decide if the product lived up to that and go back if not. I discussed the colour temperature with the assistant and she knew what we call them in the UK. However they refer to "Yellow" (warm White) and White (Daylight).
As to certain addresses and poor lamp life. Surges or intermittent supply are issues to look for. It happens in the UK and no reason not to here.
