Hi been over looking at property need genuine feedback on living there please 😄 bringing 29 year old daughter and 3 yr old

When you move into the property how are you going to live financially?  Will you or the 29 year old need to work? If so bear in mind Spain has a very high unemployment rate. Do you speak Spanish? If not this will restrict work opportunities. Do you both drive? If only one drives and they have the car to get to work how will the other manage? Bus services are not like the UK on e every 10 minutes, more like one per day if there are any. 

The 3 year old will be attending nursery, how will she get there?   I wouldn’t worry about the wee one not speaking Spanish she will probably be fluent before you have learnt the alphabet!

From these negatives the positives are wonderful weather, laid back lifestyle, lovely scenic countryside, and a living slightly cheaper than the UK. I say slightly as the Spanish seem to come up with new taxes at an alarming rate! 

I am sure others will come up with many more pros and cons.

good summary above: can you afford to pay for health insurance for the three of you, will your daughter get fed up having no money, friends and being stuck in the house.

Lots more negatives I know, but unless you like being broke in the sun there are many of them.

In my view coming to live in a foreign country without fluent language is only workable if you are a pensioner, with guaranteed income and health cover in the state system. Don't risk coming without health cover, as children can get ill and although they usually get better quickly private treatment would be expensive.

I agree, for a pensionar Camposol is great. If you still have to work, I wouldn't risk it.

If you get any thumbs-ups for Camposol I suggest you ask then what their circumstances are, as recent comments on here suggest that it may be great for retirees with own transport, but less so for a family unit like yours. A bigger town like Los Alcazares or even Cartagena or Murcia with schools, clinics, some public transport and at least a remote chance of some seasonal work might suit better.

If you are under UK retirement Age ...you will have to take out private health care insurance.. If you can find a job that pays your N.I /Tax contribution's then go for it ...if you don't have jobs lined up then forget about living in Spain .

We came as a family 12 years ago with 2 boys aged 11/8 and none of us speaking Spanish. I got a job almost immediately and therefore paying into the social       security (covered my husband & children) and about 2 years later my husband      started his own business. Both boys went to Spanish school and are now fluent with qualifications. They have a wonderful life and been able to be children in a safe environment, something they are both grateful for. We have had ups and downs along the way but are still happy living in Spain, it is what you make it and how determined you are to succeed. We all would rather be here with nothing than go back to living in the UK. Yes life would be easier if you are retired with lots of money but that applies to any country. Spain is beautiful and if you can make it work, the best life for you and your family. At least give it a go you can always go back if it does not work for you. 

Thankyou for your reply we keep getting told we need to take out private health insurance unless we are loaded ha ha! And work is impossible to find! We have been over and found a property but all this conflicting advice is confusing yours is the most positive to date thankyou 😄

You are most welcome. Yes you may need private health care but there are other options, just do lots of research. Jobs are not easy to find and that applies to any country but if you want to work and prepared to do anything then there is work about. I would suggest renting first unless you have found a bargain to buy, as you may not like the area or neighbours. But I would recommend your 3 year old goes to Spanish school. 28% unemployment overall in Spain ...if you want to live in Spain and you don't have a job you will need a minimum of £6,000 per unemployed adult in the bank ..you will also need to have private health insurance if you are under UK retirement age...otherwise you will not be able to become a resident  you must also prove that you will not become a burden on the Spanish Tax payer ..all this information is available on the net.
