I've copied this from another thread in case it's of use to others:-

We have just bought a small villa for holidays & to let to family/friends and I had reservations about Camposol and really wanted to live in a "proper" Spanish town but my wife wanted somewhere she would feel at home and people spoke English. Plus it was her inheritance we used to buy so she won!

We completed last week and went over on Saturday for the first time but arrived and had to wait 1.5 hours for the solicitor with the keys only to to find we had no water or electricity (the previous owner had been cut-off without anyone's knowledge). But the response from the neighbours was just incredible. First someone saw us waiting in the car outside in 32c heat and came to ask if we were OK. When we explained we were waiting for the keys he invited us into his house for cold drinks and to use the loo. He also warned us he thought the electric had been disconnected and called another neighbour from across the road. When the solicitor arrived we checked and found it was true - no water or electric. At this point the neighbours swung into action! First they showed us where the water meters were and we found our one was switched off so we rectified that. Then they got together and strung an extension lead from our next door neighbours into our patio and a three way adapter so we had power. Then another neighbour who had heard we had no water or electric came over and said we needed to get a cup of tea and invited us over - this evolved and ended up being a wine and beer drink party :-)

So there is my experience and it was truly remarkable how everyone was so helpful and friendly - even though they had never met us before. So for all the negative reports you read, here is one very positive experience :-)

What a lovely heartwarming tale! Sounds as though you have found a great place and will be very happy and settled there in no time. Thanks for sharing.

All the best.

Anna

I agree, what a lovely story, this is why we love Camposol so much, because we feel we are living amongst 'family' people who will look after one an other in times of need.  I have often gone out to our place on my own, my friends back in the UK ask if I am ever worried - never - I feel safe and always confident that there is someone around that would help should I need it.

Good morning. We have seen and read your message left on the forum. We understand that you have been staying at Sierra Golf resort a few times. We are wondering if you could give us some insights into the latest development. For example, does it feel that you are living in a building site ? How are the local amenities on the actual Sierra Golf development, is there a shop and or bar and or restaurant ? Thank you in advance and we are planning to visit the resort very soon. Your inputs would be invaluable.

Hi Edwina,

Thank you for your very prompt reply n your honest opinion. We have been looking for a few months now and saw many Bungalows (Never lived in) on the market recently. They look very attractive. In fact we are coming over next week to see a couple of them. My partner is recently retired and we are hoping to have a winter escape home. UK winter weather is depressing. Do you have any advice when seeing the properties n the region ? We have a dog and some outside space is important for it. Do you think the area is good ? Built quality ok ? Any subsidence or floods risks ?

Regards,

Man

We are going to be there just for a few days and with an intention to purchase. Life is too short and we just want to make sure the development is safe and no subsidence or flood risks. Is your house in good order when you first bought it ? Thank you for an invite BTW. We will have a drink in future I hope.
