Ours was done at the counter and we didnt have to go back. They are now doing them at the indoor market by the bus station in the port. There is a sign with a phone number to ring for an appointment but if they are not busy they will process it without the need for an appointment so its worth going there not the town hall.
Sunnyspain,ok thats interesting will try that ,went to town hall yesterday and they were reluctant to even let us in the building without a prior appoinment ! when we did eventually get there asked to renew my padron and was told we have to go back next year cant understand why we were not offered any other option oh well be nice if i can do it somewhere else.cheers for info.

No worries. Good luck.
Agree with Sunnyspain - go to the indoor fish market. We had an appointment at 10.15 - we rocked up a tiny bit early and was out of there by 10.13 with our regenereated padron. The desks are at the end of the fish market - the man to the left is very helpful. It just cost €2. The couple behind us didn't have an appointment. Just take your passport if it is to get your padron regenerated.

Karenp ok will do thanks.
Got a translator to ring the council office in the fish market this morning to make an appoinment to renew my Padron and the earliest they can do it is Jan 14th so cant apply for my residency this year which is a pain.

It might just an idea to just rock up to the indoor fish market - regeneration of a padron takes a minute or two. Perhaps your translator rang the council office in Mazarron - just a thought.
Hi, no he rang the office in the port, but thanks for advice may try that, looks like it opens again at 5.30 so may try tonight.cheers
I went to the Town Hall this morning at 8am no one in at all, got told by the security guard that I had to have an appointment, I ask if I could make an appointment and he took me to the reception desk, and spoke to the lady behind after about 8/9mins of Spanish chatter they spoke to another lady then the security guard showed me to a desk and they gave me my padron. I think sometimes it helps to act a bit dumb!
