Good advice about cancelling the POA or at least having the papers in your own possession.

Can you explain how to go about doing your own tax returns?

So I will have to rely on lawyers, I don't speak Spanish and my English is not good enough either (I always translate my texts here).
I have been working for German lawyers and notaries for over 40 years. So I have a certain trust in the judiciary, even in the Spanish one :-)

I total up my income each year, then using the Agencia Tributaria website fill in the form - this year it is Renta 2020 as it is for the year before the return. There are videos, a lot of explanatory stuff, and most of what is needed is available in English.

I would only think about using a gestor if I had bought or sold property in that year, or had a more complex situation like rental income or being self-employed.
