I often drop the wife and her friend off at sector B to do the shopping... So have some consideration for people that just want to be picked up with the shopping outside consum so kindly move on if you can't see a parking space and don't block the entrance to the car park ...the blue badge disabled parking is also down by the Consum entrance how do these people get pass you if you are blocking the entrance.to the car park.

Do you not have legs then can you not walk from the big and i mean the big car park, or from the small bottom car park if there are no spaces then move on or are you normally that lazy. If you where disabled or some thing then ok but most are just to lazy very sad people.
Patiently waiting for a car to pull out only generally takes minutes. I do use the lower B car park when my husband is with me but as I mostly go and do the shopping on my own the weight of the bags leads me to park as close as possible to the shops as I have a weak elbow and dodgy lower back. Lazy my dear I am not.

Karenp, you shouldn't have to justify your reasons for parking nor disclose any health problems you might have. The reply from Yamah1300 is best ignored, it's based on assumptions and misses the point of your post.
I park in the large car park by the roundabout, or in the one where the Black Bull & Correos are.
Despite my 7 decades of life, I have 2 functioning legs and can carry shopping bags. If I have a trolley full, I take the trolley down the slope to the lower car. It's not hard folks!
I also have an undinged car.
I find the queuing to get into the car park outside the Consum very silly. The vast majority of people are more than capable of a short walk.
I realise there are quite a few people with mobility or even simple strength issues, but few of the cars I see in the Consum car park have Blue Cards on display.
Hi, I agree with rma44, you don't have to explain to anyone your reasons for using the car park etc. I myself have done exactly what you did on numerous occasions when we've had an unusually large amount of shopping. If we've had less shopping and only a couple of bags, then yes, I've parked in the large car park, the one near to Black Bull, the one next to the vets and even WALKED to the one at the back of Trevis bar. So there are choices for the able bodied person but I'm amazed that people assume the person driving is LAZY. (Remember: never assume, it makes an ASS of U and ME) . As for consideration when people "just want picking up with the shopping" these are the types that actually cause the nuisance by blocking people wanting to leave and people wanting to enter the car park. Just saying.....👍

Like Orac I would not dream of parking by chino, spaces are too narrow, people walking between cars constantly pushing trolleys, carrying bags etc I park in the bottom car park by recycling bins. If I have a lot of shopping no problem pushing trolley across and returning it to ltrolley park at the bottom of the slope.

I myself do get annoyed often at those waiting. They will often sit bang in the middle so no car can pass by. When I have turned in like this and see that the car park is full, I now want to exit to either park down at the black bull or elsewhere but I am instead trapped by this car that has no reason to straddle the middle and block everyone else. Also, as frequent flyer says, you may just be picking someone up.
Either way, not everyone who turns into the car park is necessarily joining the queue so please be considerate and make enough room for those who want to pass.
