Hi, just fitted 2 new ceiling fan lights. Living room one 100% but bedroom one has a residual faint glow when turned off by the remote, goes when turned off at the wall, suspecting something to do with the 3 way switching. Any ideas please? Have googled problem but nothing understandable and all from American posts. TIA.

Take the led bulb out and replace it with a normal bulb not a low energy type and it should cure the problem.

I would suggest that the reason for the small glow in your LED Lamp is a small amount of voltage through you neutral phase which in my experience is not unusual and not a problem or if it's on a dimmer switch the dimmer may be faulty.

Sorry FF, can't do as modern fan with integrated less. Whole idea was to replace the hideous things that were here when we moved in, think they went out of fashion when Victoria took the throne.

Thanks HK, that would make sense of what I've read online, just need to find a way to fix it, glow wouldn't be an issue apart from being in bedroom and at 3 in the morning even that dim glow is like a beacon :-)

You could try changing the lamps to a better quality LED lamp,  if the lamps come with the new fitting they may be of a lower quality LED you could try changing the bedroom light switch.

I would be checking the earthing side of your house system.

Test simply by running a cable from any earth point on any plug to a proper earth like a copper water pipe.

See if the LED goes off then

If it's a MASA house I would get all the electrics checked!! Year's ago I found out that all the earth wires were left loose....in the bathroom as well. Buy cheap... get cheap!
