Hi can anyone tell me which areas where hit with flooding for the last couple of years and also the best areas to buy on. I am getting a bit worried now tho buy as reading bad reports about flooding and subsidence.

Hi Vivien

I guess you heard about the (Gota Fria) it happens about every two to four years when there could be heavy rain over that period in the Costa Calida area this year it was pretty bad as we also had snow first in 30 years but I live on B sector on Camposol no problems we were fine as was a lot of the area so you pay your money and make your choice I believe the UK had it pretty bad as well??? Just a little foot note Camposol is a great place to live great community we have a few bars restaurants doctors dentists supermarket you name it and we mostly have it don't always believe what you read come over a great welcome is waiting here for you

Best Regards John

Hi, Thanks for that we are planning to come in September/ October to buy to use for a holiday home until we retire. We live in the North East so we haven't experienced flooding as bad as in the South we have been lucky. I have been looking at footage on you tube which was scary about subsidence, flooding and on estate agents websites it says awaiting papers. Will those properties get papers etc it's a bit daunting. I have read about the community spirit in Camposol and it does sound great.

Hi Vivien

The amount of times I read scare stories about Camposol really makes me mad ok there are parts of the area which has had problems but that is something you look into before you buy as I said A and B are very good so if you decide to buy here get a good solicitor I would recommend Alberto Alcaraz of Corral & Alcaraz law firm they did the legal stuff for me and not a moments worry they checked everything right down to a full survey no problems also sorted out our residents and all legal doc's we needed to live here in Spain.

May I finish by saying like I do when I answer questions for people who would like to come here to live in Camposol its like marmite you either love it or pass it on it we love it and would not change this style of living for any where else

Regards John
