Hi all we are looking at buying a villa in the Camposol area with a pool and was wondering what the running costs would be, ie, maintenance and servicing. Is there local firms that do this sort of work.

Plenty of local firms that do pool cleaning. We do our pool and therefore only pay for chemicals and cleaning brushes etc. We also put money away for general maintenance. Had to have 8 m x 4 m pool regrouted cost €800. We used a local lady Amanda Gorvel(English) who We paid for a pool check up and initial training for pool maintenance when we bought 5 years ago. She is one of the few pool cleaners who holds a Spanish pool chemical and testing certificate.
Electric, water & a pool maintenance contract I would say around 1500-2000 euro per year.

Thanks Helen, seeing that I probably won't have a lawn to look after looking after a pool will be a good alternative 👍

We use Alpha Pools. Great service and clean pool every week even when not there. 👍
