No community charges at present as the urbanisation is not officially finished.

Yes we do have a community charge on Camposol  ... Camposol is a urbanization it is not a gated community that a entity runs    we pay I.B.I ..this is council tax to you if you come from the UK ...I have a 3 bed 3 bathroom villa with swimming pool on Camposol and it cost around 400 EU per year ...I have been paying I.B.I /council tax for the passed 11 years ...if you don't pay this the urbanization will never get maintained/finished.

IBI is the local Council tax

If and when an entity is set up you will have to pay a community charge - a completely different payment.  If you look in your escritura you will find that an entity has to be set up on completion  and adoption by the local council.  The only reason it has not been established (despite several attempts to illegally do so by the council) is that camposol  has not been finished and the council have refused to adopt it.  No adoption- no certificates of habitation- no entity -no community charge.

It would be impossible to set up a entity on Camposol...a entity is the sort of thing that is set up to run a very small gated community ..not a urbanisation the size of a town ..Camposol is 6x4 KLM in size and has approximately 5,000  privately owned properties 2 large shopping centers /a large hotel/18 hole golf course with a large club attached ..miles & miles of roads and pavements/street light's /community centre you would need a  administration department and a hands on work force to maintain Camposol... approximately the same size as Mazarron council  ..90% of the population of Camposol are OAPs think about it...who would run such a organization...the council are allready screwing the residents of Camposol with I.B.I charges and do bugger all in return for it .

As Ian stated there is no community charge on Camposol.

I.B.I. is the local property tax that is payable on all property whether it be on an urbanisation, city, village or rural area.

If you live in a block of apartments you will pay a community charge for the upkeep of the building, as in Camposol on sector"A" there ate two areas that have community swimming pools and they pay a "community charge" for the upkeep of these "they also pay I.B.I" and these are not a gated community.

On a gated community you will be paying I.B.I. plus your community charge as I am sure frequent flyer will be aware of as he has just purchased on one .
