Afternoon all

My wife and I are thinking of living in Campasol and I am just after a bit of advise and help. I'm on medication for cholesterol and I was just wondering if you can get over there and is there a cost? I'm on 3 types of tablets and recently been put on injections called Repatha is anyone else on this? Any help or advice would be appreciated I've included a photo of meds. Thank you in advance Neil. Excuse the wine sadly that's not on prescription 😁

Prescriptions can be expensive. Are you from uk and will you have s1 if taking state pension? If so you normally just pay 10% of the medication cost.

You will need to look into visa requirements to work here. If you apply for non lucrative visa which isn't cheap for residencia you cannot work. S1 is if you are claiming state pension from uk.

Private healthcare in the 1st year is a must if not retired and cost depends on your pre existing medical conditions which you must disclose

Wine is cheap here 😆

Ok thank you. Sorry about all the questions I've been offered a permanent job and never thought about medication I will just have to abuse the NHS until sorted. My friend moves over next week so I'll have an inside man so to speak. Thank you again 👍

If you have a permanent job with a contract you would need a working Visa

With contacted employment you will be paying into the system therefore you will be entitled to Spanish healthcare.

Neil to go back to your original question I buy mine from the Farmacia. Ramipril (I know your not taking but of the same family) is the most expensive all others are around €3.00 . The Farmicia on Camposol A is the most expensive, there are cheaper and friendlier places around Mazarrón. Before anyone asks I’m waiting for S1 to be sorted.
