Has anyone had any experience of what the process is regarding claims?
We recently had a flood and the assessor went round 2 weeks ago. so they just offer a payment or do they get all the work done by using their own contractors?
What sort of timescale should I expect to see also?

What sort of timescale should I expect to see also?
It depends on the company. But when our friends had a claim they reported to insurance company who came out and assessed then told them to get some quotes. Best to discuss with insurance agent
