The cover on our property on Camposol is due for renewal in a couple of weeks so we are shopping around. Have seen mixed reviews so asking here if anyone can recommend a reliable insurer at a reasonable price for buildings and contents cover. We only use our place as a holiday home and do not sublet.

Thanks in anticipation

Be careful not to get caught up in the 1 month renewal cancellation trap, I have read many a story of automatic renewal payments taken from your bank account with out any warning, with most auto payments you will have problems getting refunded, in Spain it’s always best to give a good months notice of cancelling a policy when looking for a better renewal.

We have been with ibex based on A. We had a couple of burst pipes which they sorted and renewal increased by just €25
