See, that's more like it 😂 thanks for the info. If we don't give it a go, we'll only regret it. Which sector are you on?

Re the bbq,  will do 😊

We are on D. A bit out of the way but nice and quiet for us Oldies.

By the way my brother and his wife are coming here later this month, they have bought a place on B so can you include them in the BBQ?

There you go, four new friends you could probably do without 😨😨😨

Hi and welcome. We are also quite new and bought on D. Btw I'm partial to pink gin too :)

Ref restaurants. We enjoy the Bulgarian on B sector. The diner was nice with welcoming staff. Picollo 4 of us are different meals and all enjoyed. Didn't think much of spice villa. 5 of us are at Paras and all enjoyed. There are some good restaurants in the port. If you like a good burger try la plage. If you like Asian food a new restaurant near the port opposite Lidl called Yaho is meant to be very good. The hairdressers are a lot cheaper than UK. I have tried the Salon on Camposol and recommend. Pm me if you want to meet up as I will be looking for new friends especially when we move out full time. Good luck on your new venture.

Hello and thankyou for the detailed reply. Lots to digest there, literally 🤣 good to know about hairdressers, can sometimes be so hard to find a good one who doesn't charge the earth.

We're not over until mid June but yes, that sounds great 😊 I certainly want to make new friends,  so thank you for the offer 😊 can't wait to be over there

Hi Patsy 😊

Thanks for replying. Bbqs will be quite frequent, I hope!

Whenever I can get the remote😂 I'm watching expat or a place in the sun lol.

Looks like we'll both be 'newbies' so maybe we could meet up with Alioops and become acqainted, we won't know anyone over there to start with.

Good luck to you too😁

You should not need to have residencia to be registered for Autonimo - I didn’t - only padrón & an appointment at an office in Cartagena which was arranged by my Solicitor.

Hi, thanks for replying.  Yes, this is what we understood to be the case. NIE, Spanish bank account and register for tax purposes. In the first instance, at least.

Oh, and someone to help with translation 🤣 although Spanish lessons is definitely a priority
