Hi both.  My wife and I bought a place in San Pedro 10years ago.  We have never looked back we have not retired yet.  My brother and his wife live up the coast.in Algorfa.  He lives there permanently.  He looks after apartments and does odd jobs for people in his community.  My advice would be to get the local free paper and see what clubs are on.  Don't isolate yourselves,  keep out of yhe sun and don't drink to much.

Good luck

Hi John and Jane, hope you have begun to feel more settled now, my husband and I arrived new in late December and have just completed are house purchase here as a permanent camposolee. Just If you have not found details to local groups yet the monthly magazine titled 'The Journal' lists most of the clubs held throughout Camposol and around Murcia with a daily and monthly breakdown. Hope this is of some use. We have spoken once outside 'ToletToSellToBuy' office, you spoke of your wife , I mentioned my son had attended 'The Kings' Chester - you might just remember but I think you were still in that euphoric state of newness and excitement,  if you will forgive my observation of the moment, that we are currently experiencing.

We are Settling in, my husband is a photographer and has been out to look at and record the Industrial past of Mazarron, have you been up to see the guns at Cabo Tinoso, yet ? If not take a look the views are breath taking (my husbands a military man so this was our first stop) Sierra Espuna is another amazing place, but you probably know as you have chosen this area too. I have joined a women's sewing, knitting, craft group which meets on a Monday afternoon 2-4.30 pm cost€1 if Jane is interested we meet, chat, some people show and tell, tea or coffee etc. some people just go for the company. Good luck both of you, if you want to know more just contact me here. All the best. Jan
