When I moved to Camposol 14 years back I too looked for class 1 work, was told by several big companies locally that if I was fluent Spanish (which I wasn't) that there may be seasonal work doing trips to UK, that was a no no, then I tried an agency who would have employed me also trips to UK but never knowing when I would be back in Mazarron, so decided driving was a non starter but good luck with your search, bar work is generally also seasonal don't know about office work
Thank you, we will do any job so hopefully both of us will get something

Do remember that unemployment amongst Spanish, with all their contacts and language skills is very high. Unlike migrant workers in the UK who are willing to work hard for very little in the jobs Brits will not look at, local Spaniards and south americans are not so fussy.
A contract job with social security is very rare, especially for non-Spanish speakers.

If you are relying on getting a job to fund your stay and live on...I would try and secure a job on the card's ..that will pay your NI/Tax contribution only one of you will need a job and the other will be covered providing you a married... Legal Jobs are as rare as hens teeth we have approximately 25 businesses on Camposol most are Bar's /Restaurants that hire as and when required and pay cash in hand.... do not attempt to make the move without a job... if you can't secure a legal job you will not be able to become Residents ...unless you take out a private Health Care insurance that cover's you both and can fund your stay ..I think the Spanish government will need to see a Spanish bank account with around 12,000 euro's per year going in .....in regular monthly amounts ..all this info is on the Net good luck anyway.
Thank you for the info very helpful
