If it is of any help, there will be a dial a taxi service for the residents on Camposol starting next month. Go on FB and search CampoBus. This should solve many problems that people may have without a car or too senior to drive. Many good properties here and at good prices because of an aging population. People are super friendly and you can meet more friends here, must be the sun !!!!! We love it here and our 1st winter here is amazing, not grey ................ When inspecting houses, just look at the road or roads for sign of movements. Would say only a handful of houses were affected by floods which was years ago and is done and dusted. Pop over and drive around with an open mind. We watched all those horrible videos as well before buying. I would just ignore it if I were you. We bought last year on C by the way and lovin' it. Fresh produce is incredible and fresh. Everything is so sweet and we just are amazed. Electricity is more expensive here but council tax is only a fraction of what we pay in the UK. Overall, living cost is almost the same as back at home but it is the sun and peace and quiet and lack of traffic here that has attracted us here. Good luck.

This is a very fair reply and mirrors our experience - we too bought last year - we bought a house that had been built by Monsora rather than Masa - several people have said that the Monsora houses are built to a higher standard and with better insulation - I guess time will tell.  I would say that not all the main roads are lit at night.

I would say that the majority of the information provided to you is fair and accurate

What I would say is that if you were purchasing another property in the UK you would look to visit the area and then view the house, so why do it any differently for Camposol? Clearly you have looked up on the internet and are now seeking that extra assurance on here but in the end none of us really know your circumstances or your personal preferences so best bet is to come and visit and get a general feel of the area for yourself

Mercers estate agents offer weekend visits and will re-imburse the flights in you actually buy a property on the weekend you view so hard to argue against that if you have already done a lot of your homework

Anyway, good luck in your search and if you do decide to move to Camposol I do not think you would be disappointed

Hi

Just read your comment about surveyors fees. We are viewing Camposol on the 3rd April, who did you use for your survey

Thanks Jim & Pauline

Hi

We haven't had a survey done yet, as we are only thinking about camposol. very mixed reviews online & from people that live there.

so we don't know what we are doing yet.

Hi Jim and Pauline we used

martinezdelacasa who you will find if you Google them. We had the cheaper option survey done without the paperwork as we were cash buyers not needing a mortgage so it was really for peace of mind and well worth the money. He went over the property with a fine tooth comb even checking inside wardrobes and cupboards and took lots of pictures. Highly recommend and his English is good as well
