Good evening all from a wet and windy UK.

Thanks for the warts and all info on the Camposol development. We are close to retiring as we mentioned before and are trying to be completely open minded about a potential move back abroad. We previously moved to Bulgaria and lived there from 2008 for a good few years, and like lots of places, this had its fair share of problems. If you can look beyond the usual Bulgarians trying to cash in on us “English Millionaires “and the endless underhand dealings then it’s a great place to live.

All my wife and I want is a place to enjoy good weather, a relaxing lifestyle, and the ability to interact with locals and ex pats alike. Spain seems to be the place for us to do that, but unfortunately, due to this dreaded pandemic and the need to be able to return to work straight away, without the need to self isolate, a visit to the area is not viable at this time

I appreciate all the views given by yourselves and as you would agree, I am not in a position to make any judgement on what has been said. We are all different and want different things out of life. If I am honest with you all, I feel very jealous, with not being able to experience what you all have, but hopefully able to remedy that in the near future.

Once again, thanks for all the comments, please keep adding to the information, which, good or bad is really nice to hear, and hopefully one day you can tell me it again over a beer or a large glass of wine !!

Enjoy the good life wherever you are, and stay safe.

Best wishes

Steve, in a wet and windy Portsmouth😀

Sounds like you're one of life's moaners. We have lived on Camposol for 18 months and whilst some of your items exist they are far from being as bad as you make out and we are thoroughly enjoying our time here.

You can bet your bottom dollar, after brexit Spain will still welcome brits, as they help the Spanish economy so much, and bring life back into derelict properties and areas, like D sector where I brought last year, nice villa but having to pay to get it water tight, but I expected that from a mas built villa, as I did my homework, and now I have a nice villa and is maintained by a great Spanish plumber who checks it out for me when I see problems on cctv, so I can’t wait to get back over soon as. covid allows, can’t wait to make more friends, as found a few already,

Hi to you both again.

Great to hear that things are progressing well for you both. This pandemic is such a pain in the backside with all the restrictions it brings. I have 4 years until I can retire but could leave whenever we decided before that subject to selling our main house here in Waterlooville and also one in North Wales.

We own a house in Bulgaria and lived over there from 2008 until 2015 ish and loved the lifestyle it gave us, with a cheap way of living and a completely laid back lifestyle.

It’s strange, but having been back in the UK since 2016 makes a move back abroad very daunting, it’s like we have become used to the UK lifestyle again.

We looked at a property on Camposol, ( well, online ) and it looks great value. It is a 2 bed terraced type bungalow with a solarium on the roof and the asking price is 45k euro, and the property is brand new, but we need to visit the area to get a feel for the place. The reports from the forum are widely mixed from excellent to don’t go near the place, so this leaves us completely confused, so speaking to someone on the ground is fantastic to get a real-time opinion.

The rental price on a similar property is as low as 330 euro per month, so like yourselves, would seem to be the way to go first.

We feel excited for you both and hope that it gives you everything you want and the ability to live a great relaxing life ( not jealous, honest ! )

We would appreciate a warts and all report on your findings, if you can find the time, with living the good life.

Ok, time to stop rattling on, and let you get back to chilling!
Stay safe and don’t enjoy too much !!!

Best wishes

Steve and Kathy

Tommo & Mick.

Hi, would appreciate you keeping this thread running with your updates, likes & dislikes, thoughts & suggestions etc on moving to & living on Camposol.   We are in the process of selling up and moving, we're Brits but presently living in Ireland, so all info from you both and anybody else with an interest in this thread will be of immense value to us.     It looks like the guy with the strong opposition to Camposol on this thread has either had his posts removed or done so himself,  Des was it?  Although pretty much one sided, I do believe his intentions were to be helpful so far as his points of view were about his experiences living on Camposol.    I wish you both all the very best on moving and settling in.

Regards..... Steve & Vanda.
