I have tried my best to find pellets cheaper than Leroy Merlin but can't find anywhere.

Although LM show lots of different pellets online they only seem to stock these in store.

Only snag with them is that they are in paper bags with no moisture barrier.

I suppose they are trying to be eco friendly by not using plastic sacks

Even if you buy a full pallet they work out more expensive than the single bags of the above pellets.

I am very surprised that the 'Chino Bazaars' have not started stocking pellets.

BricoFermin in Lorca sell pellets but they are more expensive than LM

Thanks for your comprehensive reply. Seems Leroy Merlin is the place to get them so another trip to Murcia on the cards.

Incidentally, for anyone reading this post, you may find it useful to know that the apparent "go to" supplier of stoves and fitting for this area charged my friend €1800 for supply and fit a similar 8kw stove to mine (which I brought out from UK and bought from Docherty for £320 brand new). On my friends installation there was no rccd, no twin wall chimney, 3 x 90degree bends, 2metre horizontal runs (unadvisable) unprotected cowell so wind and rain blow back nor bird intrusion protection, no separate air intake for clean burn etc etc - real cowboy job and I would believe dangerous. Carbon monoxide kills. My total purchase and installation €600!! Having seen my friends installation I was pleased I couldn't find anyone to fit mine and was forced to do it myself after some research on YouTube and internet. Obviously they make massive profit on the stove and the fitting. It's not rocket science - even I could do it! And if you are just lining an existing chimney (I had to pierce one 80mm and one 50mm holes through dining room wall) it's even easier. These guys are making 1000€ a day (that's all it takes to fit it) clear profit! Nice work if you can get it!

Hope this helps others thinking of installing a pellet or woodburner .
