Certainly feel your pain, we were out in November and were burgled on B whilst nipping to the bar for a couple of hours. We have had a holiday home for 16 years and this is the first incident but feel we were definitely targeted and have considered packing it in or moving elsewhere. We thought we...

... were security conscious but these people were determined to get in and clearly seem not to care about being seen as they smashed in our front door and wiped us out including passports and hire car.
Police attended within 20 mins a number of questions a few photographs and that was all they could do. We are adding additional security and will see how we feel over the next few months but certainly don’t want to let low down scum drive us away. Somebody knows these people and hopefully they get their just desserts very soon.
That's awful news Peter. To smash in your front door surely they must have been heard.
We had the decorative grills on our windows and didn't think anything about them not being secured into the wall properly. As they came over the neighbours wall at back of us (even she lives here full time but elderly) and ripped our back bedroom grill off and prised up the mosquito screen then the roller blind to get in through the window. Luckily our credit cards and passports were still there and spare car keys also. With us it was jewelry and money they took. My laptop was left out on the sofa as well as a camera left in a cupboard. To have to get new passports would be a nightmare as well as cancelling credit cards. People tell us we were lucky that they did not destroy things in the house. There must be someone on camposol who knows who they are. We now have another set of flat grills secured into the wall properly and paid for the decorative ones to be put back in more securely. So double grilled. We had thought about installing an alarm but only got round to it after the burglery. If they want to get in they will find a way. Lynn
