Hi ,

I could not agree more, it makes total sense, yes even 5 Euros a month from each resident would more than pay for a police officer, and a permenant office for them on Camposol, what a bonus for us all, and how can any one miss 5 Euros per month.

Imagine a 24 hour police prence on patrol, what a bonus for Camposol residents, and a deterrent for those who want to commit crime.

But, there will be those who say no I am not prepared to give 5 Euros.

There will be those who will not agree, sad, as its a great idea.

5,000 houses x 5 euros  - 25,000 euros, which is not enough to have a permanent 3 shift presence.  20 euros a month would be more like it.

I am quite sure the local politicians would be delighted to collect the money, but whether or not it would result in boots on the ground is   another thing  entirely.

As I pointed out to the guy that was doing a lot of posting a few months ago trying to set up a security patrol service.

The figures just don't work.........and it has been done twice in the last 15 years that I know of.
