Water meter faulty ?

Has anyone had a faulty water meter replaced as my last 4 water bills have suddenly gone up substanially ,have tested meter when we have our taps off and the meter dial isnt moving so no leak between meter and villa. normal consumption on average over last year is about 8m3   our last 4 have been 48/57/24/36 yes 57000 litres ! we have a rebecca no pool only two of us have email aqualia last week no reply yet.Any advice would be appreciated

Other people are having problems. Speak to Sylvana, she was dealing with this.

Others again have had high bills again. Silvana has said contact Aqualia as she cannot help. She tried to help last time and all bills appeared correct.

Have you checked that the bill is real not estimated and were other bills estimated and this one real hence reason it is higher. Also check if they have added back dated basura charges. If it still doesn't seem right call them or if you are resident go into their office. My last 2 bills for our Rebecca with hot tub are correct at around €50.

Do you live in the villa full-time ??

If not perhaps somebody is stealing your water.

It does happen.

Have Aqualia read the right meter ??

Silvana has responded to my query and said all the cases she has asked Aqualia to investigate were correct for the water consumed.Thats the problem my water reading is correct with what Aqualia has billed me ,its not a question of purely going on the meter reading my water consumption has gone up astronically do i really use 57000 litres per bill you could fill swimming pool with that! before the last 4 bills our usage was about 8000 litres do they really think this is normal beggars belief if i dont get a response from Aqualia i will secure the meter box so they cant get access till thay sort it out rant over.

Hi roland yes we live here full time ,the meter box is shared with 4 other properties which is usual with rebecca villas i have checked for water leakage and its ok this has only just happend over the last 4 bills have checked they are reading the correct meter and they are as each one has a serial number all the other villas connected to this meter box are not here.The meter is faulty no other possible explanation how can you use 57000 liters!

Looks as though you have checked just about everything then.

Have you thought about contacting a plumber to put an independent meter on your supply ??

Might cost you a few euros to have it done but at least you would have something to put in front of Aqualia.

As you say you can't be using 57000 litres of water in a billing period.
