We're up in the northwest of Murcia, have our English tv through a 2 metre dish and Humax box. Reception a bit dodgy in bad weather but otherwise a good signal.

This last week we have lost most channels, yesterday we could only get Sky news, a couple of shopping channels and one film channel. Today, nothing at all.

I'm wondering if it's a satellite shift. Anybody else having the same problem?

Welcome to Spain. We have been here in Fuente Alamo over 3 years and this has happened every year in summer. Things are fine in winter, unless the weather is bad, but every summer nothing during the day but, if lucky, a few channels late evening.

hi,

I am in mid Murcia with a 1.4 dish.

I still get every Freesat Channel including BBC1HD plus other HD Channels.

Your dish is out of alignment, probably due to high winds recently.

Get the dish realigned and ask the engineer to put a grub screw through the clamp onto the support pole. This will stop the dish swinging round in high wind. The slightest movement laterally is absolutely critical. Rarely do dishes go out of alignment vertically if bolted up tight.

With heavy rain anywhere between your house and the uk can cause temporary total picture loss, but the picture will return.

At certain times of the day Film 4 and other similar weak channels may disappear depending on rotation of the Earth, only to return 10-15 minutes later. Just after midnight at current GMT.

I have enclosed a BBC1HD photo taken just after 2.00 pm today as proof.

Regards Al

Thanks guys, it's all sorted now. It had got out of alignment. We haven't had particularly high winds here recently but it has probably moved poco a poco over 13 years.
