Not sure if I am in the correct location, however we are looking at purchasing a property on this site. Coming across first week in Sept to view.

May I ask please to anyone who owns property on this site

1 - any advice

2 - what are the facilities like

3 - is it safe for children (grand kids)

4 - any catches to be aware of , paperwork, anything built unofficial , annual fees ...

Thank you in advance

Hi, we have owned an apartment on CDA since April 2018. We used a registered property agency. There are some onsite at CDA. We have initially purchased it, as a family only holiday  home. Mainly to be able to see our grandchildren within a couple of hours, in constant sunshine. We spent some weeks since our purchase, with various family members and our grandchildren. It’s such a safe, secure (24hrs) environment for them. The pool facilities in ours and other Jardins are great and safe. All the family love it there. The main centre Al Kazar is well serviced by a supermarket, bars, restaurants and other outlets. The beaches and Port at Mazarron are only 10 mins away. There are numerous other places worthwhile to visit. Once the new airport at Covera opens in January 2019, access to CDA will be even quicker. Use solicitors like PALS in Mazarron etc. They take a lot of the stress of purchase, setting up essential Direct Debits and a Spanish bank account under a Power of Attorney. To be on the safe side allow 10% of your property purchase price, to cover fees and taxes. If you use the right agent and solicitor you cannot go far wrong. Hope this helps as a guide.
