I also don’t like spiders, but have lived here over a year now and so far have only seen the odd tiny one. Cockroaches I only see if the cats catch them outside. Quite a few large and small crickets in the garden. Lots of lizards, which I love. Tip: if you don’t like flies I don’t seem to get them indoors much since I used spray bleach on the surfaces instead of anti- bac. Good luck..

Hi just a thing about creepy insects . When you first move in go round every room And sweep away any thing you don’t like the look of , next fill in any gaps at the bottom of door ways , windows , paying attention to gaps between floor tiles and skirting tiles after this fit mosquito nets to all openings making sure you close them . I’m telling you all this because I done all this and it works fine , the one evening I left the kitchen door open and did not close the netting I was left with four black Beatles runing around the kitchen , took two days to catch them all . Good luck , Kevin .

If it’s got 8 legs I am a blithering wreck. Mist properties have screens do very little gets into the house, outside they seem to get hidden away out of sight. We have seen one or two spiders round the swimming pool early morning, presumably come for a drink. Tell your wife not to worry, if this post jinxes me and I see a spider you will hear the screaming.

Good luck hope your visit soon occurs. My son and d-in-law were visiting in September but things are very uncertain.
Hi Paul and Linda, I am the same as you Linda frightened to death of anything that crawls, scuttles, flies or legs it haha. We have lived here now since the 10th August and truthfully I have had the odd little scream eekkkk....quite funny really because if you see me I am a big girl, but terrified of the tiniest of flies, spiders etc. But I had to make the choice live in Spain and face my fears or stay in UK cold wet and miserable. We haven't regretted anything up to now. Good luck and hope to have a catch up once you get here..
