I think they booked the test on the Fri for the following week. It's a little ambiguous but I believe that's what she meant.

We booked it on the Friday. Had the test on the Tuesday, flew home on the Thursday.

Hi, sorry if I confused you. We booked the test in the medical centre on Friday and had the actual test the following Wednesday. The results were available within 15 minutes and we were given our certificates then and there. We flew home the day after the tests.
