Hi - that’s really interesting. We also own our house outright and have of copy title deeds. So I take it a professional has advised you that no additional funds are required. I’d be very interested to hear your progress. All the best getting your residencia.

Yes that's correct. The lady arranging it is well known for gaining residencies in our area. I just had to send her copy deeds passports and nie. I will update on a new thread to let members know how it went. She is in the process of obtaining the appointment. We fly out Tuesday.

That sounds so straightforward. We live In Santiago de la Ribera but dont suppose it matters where as if I’m correct you meet your representative at the police office in Cartagena to complete application.
Is it possible to give me the ladies contact details and a note of her fees please?
We have a/ment at padron office on 20th July so after that are ready to apply for residencia appointment (again my lawyer says you can’t apply until you have your padron)

Many thanks again

I had been in contact with a lady re residencia who was very responsive to my questions and has been well recommended by many people. She is Uma at getlegalinspain.com and she travels far and wide. Unfortunately for us, we are not continuing as we would lose out too much with taxes and as we have 3 properties that couldnt be sold by December and CGT after that date was horrendous. We discovered too many reasons not to. I emailed her and not sure I still have her email address, but try googling as she came recommended either on this forum or sister forum Costa Blanca. I am member of both. Any problems let me know and I,ll search old emails. She gave me a lot of information free and was timely too.

Regards

Pauline.

We completed our residencia in January this year. We did not have to prove our income.  All we needed was the deeds to our house. We own it. A full health insurance cover for both of us. Padron, NIE certificate,  copies of the above and passport and original. We then went to Murcia with a translator and within 10 minutes we were given our green card and became Spanish residents. At no time did they want to see bank statements or proof of earnings.  Neither of us are pensioners. Speak to a solicitor is my advice.

Thanks so much. We have been advised the same as you from Liberty Seguro  however our lawyer is telling us something different- so my understanding is that it’s an Either or situation. Although our lawyer knows we own our house outright but is telling us we don’t need our title deeds but need €8k per person in bank - no wonder it’s confusing when two professional bodies tell you conflicting information 😖.
