I purchsed a villa here just over two years ago outright.  I also have two properties in the uk that bring me 4 lots of income and also have two businesses in the UK.

Has anyone on here got business / property income from the UK in a decent amount so I can have an idea what I am best off doing.  Do i stay resident in UK or become a Spanish Resident and pay the tax system here,  Ideally answers from thosw who have comiited or not with reasons.   Thanks

As said by many on this forum already, myself included, seek professional advice. You will get far too many differing and possibly inaccurate replies on the forum. A few euros spent upfront may save huge fines later.

I agree with PhilTox.

You must seek professional advice.

Your affairs are quite complex & you need to spend some £££ for proper tax & legal advice.

I am a Spanish Resident, I rent out UK properties and I am having my taxes processed in Spain right now.

So, in a previous thread, I assumed I had relevant experience to share ..... but it seems that others had different experiences from mine. There were different opinions, even among those of us who had (apparently) been through the process.

So ... get professional advice.

But submitting an income tax return in Spain is not optional. It is COMPULSORY if you spend >183 days in Spain in a given year.

After Brexit Transition concludes, you will not be able to spend more than 90 days in any rolling 180 day period in the EU.

Surely part of your issue is how long you expect to spend in Spain - if longer than 183 days then there is no choice but to get Spanish residency .

After Brexit Transition concludes, Brits (without Spanish/EU Residency) you will not be able to spend more than 90 days in any rolling 180 day period in Spain/the EU.

Hi just to say that a tax return is not compulsory in Spain unless you earn over the threshold that said it is advisable to do at least one so you are on the system.  It might even allow you to get free prescriptions as well if you are on a lo wish income instead of paying the 10%
