Hi Annie

Can I ask if you travelled to Scotland or England? Assume you sourced the day 2 and 8 tests yourself which didnt arrive.  We were told we had to complete the CTM portal which are NHS tests that they charge £170 each for. It doesn't say its law to do so and were trying to find out if we can ...

...source our own tests without penalties.  I agree it really is a joke we did 3 tests and 10 days isolation,  with no calls and we have had 2 jabs. This is worse than this time last year in the worst of it!! It's quite funny we have to do all this to go back into UK  which is a high risk country now.

I travelled into Gatwick from Corvera.  I didn’t source the tests myself. I went through the government website to the list of approved providers of the Day 2 & 8 tests. Yes, it was cheaper than some of the others - but still expensive in my book - but I assumed it wouldn’t be on the gov. list if they haven’t approved it. The frustration is that you HAVE NO CHOICE!!! The whole process is designed to line the pockets of these companies (gov. approved because someone in the government has a financial stake in them), put people off travelling and perpetuate the scare-mongering and Covid hysteria. Even the latest so-called ‘freedoms’ will cost travellers a fortune.

Could I please ask what you paid for the 2 tests as I'm due to travel from corvera 1st Aug but not unless they lift the quarantine . Thank you

I paid £80. Not the cheapest but far from the rip off prices some companies are charging. That said, had I paid twice that and not received the tests I would have been much more upset. In the end, the Covid Police don’t care if you don’t get or submit the tests. It’s all a scripted tick box process. As long as you follow their rules they don’t actually give a toss about your health or that of those around you. I wish you luck. It’s beyond stressful and completely unnecessary.

Have faith, Eviedoll. Sanity has GOT to return at some time and I’m hoping for a positive change by August. 😄🤞🏼
