I'm not taking any chances so I have booked other flights with ryanair from Alicante for 16th. Were under 80 return for both of us which is nearly 60 cheaper than what we paid EJ. So if ej cancel I get full refund if it still flies I have only lost 80. No doubt the 80 price will shoot up 2 weeks prior to departure if ej cancel. I have a feeling they will as this happened to us in May and July

There are similar risks with Ryanair - our flight Leeds-Alicante due 6th October was moved the previous week to the 5th. To be fair there was room to socially distance once the cabin door closed, and it landed early.

How anyone seriously can say you can socially distance on a plane is in cloud cuckoo. Just one instance if anyone goes to the toilet how do they get there without walking past everyone sat down. ? the last I knew they had not introduced levitation

If you book with Ryanair, be prepared to take vouchers if they cancel the flight.... during lockdown, they cancelled two of our flights. I asked for a refund in both cases and we are still waiting for our money! 6 months later!

I had the same with Ryanair in January and put a dispute with my bank Barclays and they refunded within a week and I had paid by debit cards not credit card

If you still have refunds outstanding, I suggest you chase Ryanair. I had several outstanding and they're all now paid up until the last ones I had which were for flights in July. A relative received her refund last week for flights in mid-August that had been cancelled in June.

I had to chase a couple and that did involve 30 mins on hold to get through, but then they were paid out within about 3 weeks of the phone call.

All the airlines are rationalising their flight volumes, so that they're trying to fly fewer flights but with fuller planes. The last couple of flights I took were 30%-50% full, which is nice from a passenger persepective but uneconomic for the airlines. Globally, flights are still down by an average of 70% (although, interestingly, China is now almost back to normal - internal flights mostly).

Many flights are arriving early as they can load fewer passengers and luggage more quickly; and they are also flying with less in flight diversions, as there's a lot less aircraft in the skies!

Hi please can you tell me who you contacted as we have 6 flights worth outstanding still.

Thanks

I phone the customer service number on 0330 1007 838. Generally had to wait for about 30 mins and then explain that I had a refund pending or I had had a voucher issued, but wanted a refund. Staff had strong eastern european accents and were a bit 'cold', but efficient and ultimately got the job done.

They then check the details and advised that I'd get a refund in about 2-3 weeks. Then tended to get an email in about 2 weeks advising that the refund would be paid in 7-10 days and it was (with no further notification, just saw the credit on my credit card).

Hope this helps!

I refuse to be run around by anyone especially Ryanair as said before they started giving me their bullshit but after no more than 2 weeks I took a dispute out with my bank "Barclays" even though I paid debit not credit card and they refunded right away and said the dispute may take 6 weeks so they may take money back. Now 5 months later I still have my money and still getting e mails advising me to use my voucher lol. Mr O'leary can kiss my arse I will never fly Ryanair again

Hi

I've had a total of 14 flights cancelled this year by Ryanair starting in March up to July. They gave me the run around with the vouchers for 3 months, so I started a refund claim with my credit card and they said no!! So I went onto to Ryanair website again, onto their online chat and this time the chat bot was set up to input all your flight details. I was paid out for every flight in 7 days, nearly 3k!! This was about 2 months ago.
