My husband and myself are looking to purchase a 3 bed property somewhere inland from the Mar Menor.  We have seen a few places slightly inland (San Cayetano, Balsicas) and would have investigated further last summer if Covid hadn't hit us all.  We want somewhere with either a pool on an urbanisation or a municipal pool and a couple of bars/ restaurants etc.  After looking at the map we think Fortuna looks like it may suit us.  Could anyone give us any information on the Las Kalendas or El Reloj areas??  Thanks in advance

There are houses for sale in El Reloj but it would, of course, depend on your budget. There are a mixture of nationalities and the location is only 10 minutes from Fortuna town which has plenty facilities, shops, bars, banks, etc. The banos de fortuna (a year round hot spa) is also nearby however with covid not sure if open at present.

It is also close to the motorway leading north to Alicante and south to Murcia and beyond. Very peaceful and friendly. We have lived here for 11+ years.

Hi Lynne, We moved to el reloj last july. We love it, very friendly. Mixed nationalities. There is a bar which does food and communal pool and play area. Some houses have no option but to pay communal fees 40 euros a month. Some other houses its optional. You would need to check when buying. Obviously if you don't pay you cant use. There are some nice restuarants, bars a short drive away.

Good luck with your search

Hi Lesley,

Do you know who we can contact about the communal facilities in El Reloj. We’ve lived the other side of the canal in the lemon groves for 6 years and although we have our own swimming pool it would be great to get to meet people/neighbours in a local relaxed location.

Is there a daily fee you can pay to use the facilities eg the cafe/restaurant/bar.

Cheers
