I'm after some advice please on the following:

Thinking of purchasing a hot tub for our holiday home and wondering how the condition of hot tubs hold up in the summer? For example do the top covers fade and need replacing regularly? Assuming if you are not there all the time do you empty the hot tub and refill again when next in residence? Any recomendations of suppliers would in the San Pedro area would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

We now live here permanently, but when we had a holiday home we used to leave it on all the time. However, this became costly in terms of electricity. We then just switched it off, but we found it would be full of mosquito larvae. How the got in I don’t know as it had a cover and all the chemicals. The only sure way was to drain it and refill each time.

We brought a pump, about €80, to pump it out, and refilled it. It then took around 24 hours to get up to temperature.

We brought ours secondhand from a place in Los Montisenos called Agua Flow. It was huge, 8 seater, fully reconditioned (new pump, pipes, etc) and a fraction of the cost of a new one. They also craned it into the property.

😁Thank you for your feedback/advice. Very helpful indeed. I don’t suppose by chance you have the details of the second hand supplier?

Here’s their website address. Los montisenos is about a 30 minute drive from Los Alcazares, next to San Miguel.

We bought an inflatable hot tub from Aldi in UK for £150 and bought it over when we drove at Christmas. We empty it when we leave and refill when we arrive. When were not here it is under a large tarpaulin swimming pool cover to protect it.

Hi I have a 2 year old tub.  We've had problems all the time with very little help from the company, it's a HLW-15B. The instructions are gobbledygook, we just can't get it to work properly so have turned it of. We don't know if it's us or if it's faulty.  Any body had the same problem, or can anyone recommend a company. We are near Pinoso. Thanks Ln advance.  Mike

Can you describe what the problem is. We have had a few problems with ours but generally holding the welcome button down for 20 secs will perform a reset which usually does the trick.

Hope that helps.
