Lost bbc channels on freesat

I have a dish pointed to astra1c.Have lost all bbc programmes. Do I need to get the dish realigned

No..the bbc have been making all their regional  programmes HD.. go to channel 799 and see if you have a good news message that your box is OK for the updates..do a manual retune / update in your settings

Most BBC channels are now HD I have the same problem. Have you triedch.965 for BBC 1 ?

Thanks for your reply. I have retuned returned to factory settings unplugged aerial but to no avail.

I said try ch. 965. Also 977 for BBC info

I can’t access these channels as they are coded. I think Astra2 is the only way

Hi, quoting (not verbatim) from the website of Sat and PC Guy, the BBC have gradually been removing their SD channels and I believe the last went on 21/22 Feb 23.  Now I also believe that HD requires more bandwidth and therefore more accuracy from a dish, especially as we (N.W. Aguilas) are at the extreme of the satellite footprint. So first check that your current dish (1.8/1.9mtr) is tuned in with good Quality and good Strength of signal. If those are not good it will need fine tuned. When you have a good Q & S, retune your TV. We managed to get HD BBC1 and 2 but sometimes it will pixelate b4 settling down.  Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. I have actually got BBC back using a different satellite at 28.2 E . It's not  BBC he but I don't really care.I've got the channels back so am quite hapoy.
