My wife and l recently bought a house in Aguaderas (near Purias and Lorca). We are busy renovating the house and it's been a steep learning curve. We are very happy here - the locals are very friendly and helpful though you do find the odd guy who wants to rip you off but these are few and far between. We joined Friends of Aguilas on facebook they meet every Tuesday at Clendys cafe at the plaza. 2 pm. Good place to meet new people. nice group 120 members but only about 20 normal turn up.
i think we all get ripped off, for us just once. and not too costly. )
