Have appointment to do this but wondering if other people have already done it in Lorca and did it go smoothly?

Have read that people in another area have had a problem because old residencia has no date on it and people have “lost” years of residence.

Hi, we did this 1 year ago,  ....... we had to go to Murcia to have fingerprints taken, then go back a few weeks later to collect the cards,.

VERY simple procedure and the people there were really helpful !!

You can use a Gestoria in Lorca and pay their fees, but the procedure on-line is simple.

Good luck.

PS - don't  believe everything you read from people in "another area". Some people hope that it will all go away and they will be able to carry on,  under the radar, as they have for years !! 😨

That will not happen now.  Sorting your TIE is easy and it will make you legal .....

 Go for it ☺

Thanks but we are already legal. We’ve had our residencia for 18 years. There is a problem in Malaga , because the old forms have no date and the authorities aren’t complying with the correct process. It’s not hearsay. It’s nothing to do with the under the radar people.

I really want to know if the Lorca National Police are applying the rules correctly.

A friend went to the Lorca police, via a Gestoria. They were very helpful.  I think the best thing you can do is go to the local Guardia in Lorca and ask them the questions.

Hope this helps.

It’s not the Guardia who deal with this. It’s the Policía Nacional. But it’s good to know they were helpful, thanks. I did ring them to change over around 18 months ago and they told me it wasn’t necessary. A whole lot of new appointment times have justly been released, almost all taken within a couple of hours if anyone else is reading this and wants to book a time.

My husband and I had an appointment for our TIE at Lorca. No waiting time, handed over all paperwork, fingerprints taken, in and out in five minutes. Received TIE approx five weeks later.

Thanks for that, Lorna. Was it a new TIE or were you changing from the old green form?
