they speak enough English to be understood…dont forget you now need a DVLA code to take with your docs to DGT

How do you get that? Also do you know what I do if my address is a po box as the lady I’ve instructed to do this for me says I can’t use a P.O. Box for my address!!!

You need an actual address for your licence and google DVLA code for Spanish licence the link is on there

We intend to live in Spain for over the 6 month period and have a NLV. Do you literally exchange your UK licence for a Spanish one or do you keep both ie. driving in UK needs a UK licence-driving in Spain requires the Spanish one? All help appreciated.

you keep the licence of your country of residence so you have to decide….

I thought that might be the case! We've already decided to keep the option of both. UK for 6 months and Spain ditto. Is a Spanish licence valid in UK?
