Setting up utilities on property purchase, and pool maintenance.

Your Solicitor should do all the change of utilities for you - have a chat with them.  We just bought and the solicitor organised everything, change of name, direct debits etc.  In Spain it’s normal for Solicitor to do it for you.

My solicitor sorted out for me , that’s how I ended up stuck with Sabadell, absolutely hopeless!

So from this forum I was advised & jumped ship to Cajamar bank, which is online for non-residents & no charges!

But I still need to visit Sabadell bank & settle account & closed 🙈 on my next visit. 

No doubt I will have to dig deep & hand over euros to closed account. Just a pity the company a purchased through had recommend Sabadell & helped me open account.

Cajamar simple, easy to open but as a non-resident you need to go in branch, but VERY helpful 👍👍

I tried to close my Sabadell account on my last visit, went up to San Pedro Sabadell and the teller told me I had to go to main branch at Torevieja, she lied , not the first time the same teller had lied to me .

Oh yeah like you’re going to drive to Torrevieja to close your account.  Disgraceful.  We went to the one in Los Alcázares and the English woman was so rude !!  I vowed I’d never go there again !   Hope you get it closed.  I’m going to do Cajamar now.  Thank you. 

How mad is this!! Los Alcàzares is within my area & where I visited last time but forgot passport, so will return & most probably be dealt by the same individual 😫….. will have to put my really happy head on 😛
