What are the testing requirements if I am travelling to the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland)?

  • For all travellers:

    • A pre-departure test is needed before you travel to the UK.

    • Our Lateral Flow Fit to Fly (supervised & unsupervised) is perfectly suited to be taken with you abroad and will provide you with a result certificate to travel to England. Last recommended date for ordering is December 22nd

  • For double vaccinated travellers:

    • You must book a Day 2 PCR prior to travelling back to England and remain in isolation until you obtain a negative result. Last arrival date available is December 19th

  • For non-vaccinated travellers:

But does it have to be a paid supervised LFT or can we use UKNHS kits we have ?

I have just returned to the UK from Spain. We needed to take a Lateral flow test whilst in Spain (I had brought with me a pre authorised certified kit, so took the test 47 hours before departure time, and using an app provided by the LFT provider took a picture of the completed test. Within 15 minutes they had emailed me my 2 day fit to fly certificate which I had to show at check in at Corvera airport. The UK NHS are no good for travel as you do not get a fit to fly certificate. With regard to the PCR test in the UK you need to have it pre-ordered as when you fill in your UK passenger locator form you have to enter the reference codes from it

Hope this helps

We took our tests Friday evening. Posted the kits in a Randox drop box at 10am Saturday morning, both got confirmation at 10pm the same day saying our samples had been received at the lab. I got my negative result at 4am Sunday morning and my partners at 10am Sunday. Did you get the message saying that they had received them at the lab?

No, I haven't even had confirmation of receipt yet - disappointing to say the least.

However we got pinged by test and trace yesterday as being close to someone with Covid which had to have come from our flight home. I've booked a drive through PCR test for this morning and the NHS message clearly says that because of my vaccination status I don't have to self isolate .. !

Watch this space for episode 3..🤞
