I currently pay €80 a month for 4 visits, so €60 seems high for once a month. Once I am out permanently I will be doing it myself.
Most, if not all pools, need weekly maintenance, cleaning, chemical balancing, etc. so I'm not sure what benefit a monthly visit would do, unless you're doing the rest yourself?
I'm paying €140 a month for weekly visits, because our property is in a fairly isolated / tranquil location, if not, then I had been quoted €60 a month if the company could fit me in with other visits.
Hope this helps!

Wowser, shocked at the pool charges, no doubt tax free what a great little earner that is. Nice little portfolio of 10 pools what a great retirement

Hi Mick,
Oh thanks. Just maybe I misunderstood and the price is for more than one monthly visit :-)) Will check it out. Hope you get to come out permanently very soon. Anne

Our guy comes every week - 80 Euros/month. He is legal and he pays his tax.
Of course, the electricity and water to run the pool costs as much again.

Well I say, if someone is proactive, hardworking and willing then they deserve to get the work.
Once they deducted their expenses and taken off their tax free allowance I doubt there would be much left over to pay taxes on. I shouldn't imagine pool cleaning is a very lucrative job.

Thanks, Will.
That gives us a good idea of running costs now.
I think I misunderstood the price quoted. It is probably for more than one visit a month! :-))

Thanks, RichT ( :-)) smile!
I think I misunderstood him and thought he meant that much for just one visit!
The info so far has given us a good idea of overall running cost and been very helpful.

We pay €50 per month and have a weekly pool clean/maintenance. We receive an excellent service
