Hi

We use Mario in Los Alcazares....He calls twice a week and does a fantastic job...during the floods he came out at 9pm in the night to clean up!

Costs 100E per month but well worth it...

We have a weekly visit for 70 euros a month - very efficient professional company.

I'll keep that in mind.

We pay €50 per month and have a weekly pool clean/maintenance. We receive an excellent service

Thanks, Gail.

If we buy in Los Alcazares (we are renting there for 3+ months ) I'll contact you for more details, if that's ok.

Anne.

I pay €60 euros per month (cleaned weekly). This includes IVA which can be offset against tax. In hindsight I’d buy somewhere with a communal pool

"In hindsight I’d buy somewhere with a communal pool" There would be community charges for the urbanisation, and no way to stop the screaming kids during the summer - well worth €100 a month for that alone! Brit kids are bad enough but Spanish ones are fitted with amplifiers!

We rented somewhere with a communal pool.  It was winter months and that was bad enough.  Neighbours told us in summer months sometimes holiday makers are frolicking; shouting; swimming until early hours of morning!

And when you consider these are working people who save all year for just one or two weeks of care-free holiday happiness it would be as hard to spoil their joy as it would be to put up with it!    So no communal pool for us.

I live on a community with high charges. Friends of mine have a communal pool in Cabo Roig and whilst it’s very busy and noisy during school hols, outside of July and Aug it’s very quiet, which is when I visit Spain.  Personally I much prefer to swim in the sea. I’d avoid anywhere facing the pool. I do take your point though and it’s not for everyone.

We pay a local UK firm 600 per year for a weekly visit and if weather requires it then a second visit during the week at no extra cost

Very good and very reliable and not being permanent seems like a good investment to me

Hi Anne,

My charges are about the same as you have been quoted, although they never seem to charge me what I am expecting (in a very good way) I use Fernando at Propiscinas in San Javier, and they are really, really good :o)

We only come out 4 or 5 times a year and have a heavy duty pool cover; they come and take it off and maintain the pool weekly for the dates specified then come and put the cover back on when we close the pool at the end of September\Early October.

:o)

Regards - Tom
