Our ferry was very good and we didn't stay in our cabin the whole time. Most passengers were being sensible so we felt very safe. I suppose you just have to accept the meal conditions but it was ok. Honestly it's worth it just to get to your happy place. Bon Voyage

Thank you, that puts my mind at rest a little.  I don't mind spending most of the time in the cabin, I was intending to do that anyway, but it is good to know I can get a bit of exercise if I want to.  Nice to know people are being sensible on the route to Spain -  a friend of ours who had to travel by ferry to the UK (different ferry company) reported very little mask wearing or social distancing, with discarded masks left lying on tables and seats.  Really looking forward to getting back to Spain.

We are booked to travel by ferry from Ireland at the end of this month, which is the route we usually take as we have pets.  Can anyone tell us what the conditions are like onboard at the moment.  The ferry company assures us that extra precautions have been taken and are asking everyon...

...e to stay in their cabins as much as possible, with time slots for restaurant access - sounds a bit grim, but necessary I suppose.  We are in high risk groups, so a bit nervous this time.

We travelled from Portsmouth to Bilbos in August and Bilbos back to Portsmouth this weekend. The organisation on board was good. Masks at all times, Social distancing in cafe queues, in shops etc. BF also advise people to stay in the cabins as much as possible. Needless to say some people do and some don’t but the boat is big and I was always able to find somewhere to sit where I felt comfortable. I have mobility problems and I am also at risk’; Both journeys were good and caused me no anxiety. Also you’ll always come across selfish people who put their ‘freedom’ above the safety of others, the BF crew members were straight up there, asking those people to comply with the safety arrangements.

We travelled here (Isla Plana) to stay permanently, two weeks ago, via car/ferry from Plymouth to Santander and everything was fine.

We had apprehensions about using the ferry but it was not crowded, everybody was distancing and wearing mask (obligatory outside your cabin).

The bar and restaurant we used was set out so as to make it easy to socially distance.

The drive from Santander was easy, we just made sure we had plenty of fuel before we got on the ferry so we didn't have to stop in the Madrid area!

However you get here, good luck.
