Hello everyone, my name is Dennis and this is my first post and I am after opinions please..we have lived in Spain for 12 years near a town called Cantoria in Almeria...but we have decided to sell up and move to Los Alcazares, or thereabouts, after living in the campo we thought it would be more beneficial, more civilised to live in a town...or will it, could any of you lovely lot give us the ups and downs of living in a town, we thinking of renting a flat/town house but would like to be within a few minute walk to sea front, have owned our homes since the 70s so will be a completely new way of life..

Thank you in anticipation..and please dont be shy of saying how it is...we have never lived in a town...we are country bumkins :-)

Regards, Dennis...(Denzil)

In the U.K. I live in a rural village and have now brought a holiday home near Los Alcazares and to be honest it's as quiet as a village back home!

Ok, I suspect July and August will be a lot busier but for most of the year Los Alcazares is quiet and laid back, a bit like a quiet town in the U.K.

Good luck!

Andy

Hi Denzil, I lived in Albox previously before moving to near LA, you will love it, I looked at property in Cantoria as you say very rural, LA and SanJavier has everything you will need, it can be quieter in the winter but you can still find everything you require, good luck
