Hi, we are supposed to be visiting the Costa Calida from 15 March until the beginning of April and are concerned about the corona virus.  We live in France and will be travelling down with our two dogs staying in our caravan, my husband has had throat cancer in the past so I am concerned about whether we should put our plans on hold till later in the year.  Any advice greatly received.....

I think it's impossible to advise anyone on this. My stepdaughter is due to fly out to us from the UK this coming weekend and my fit but 80 year old husband is supposed to be returning with her next week for a visit. No decisions have been made yet as to whether either will travel. My husband's family are worried because of his age, he is concerned that, having gone to the UK, there may be a problem returning to Spain in a couple of weeks if things follow the Italy situation. Chances are, they will both stay home!

On Saturday, there were no cases of Coronavirus in Murcia region, today there are 4.

In my view unless you have plans to be in one of the real hot-spots that are closed off the chances of you catching this are the same wherever you are.

You can seal all the doors and windows, stock up with food and isolate yourself for the next year, or accept that there is a small risk - a very small risk - that you may catch it and just get on with life.

Hi France has the second largest outbreak of coronavirus in Europe.  Spain is low at the moment, mainly in Madrid first case reported in Murcia yesterday. Maybe if you are worried better to st stay put or just keep an eye on the situation. No one really knows.
