Hi all I keep reading about convenio especial not being available in some areas. We are UK pensioners and will be moving to the area later this year. If for any reason s1 is not available can we pay into the spanish healthcare system after a certain period. Thanking you in advance.

Theres no reason why you should not get your S1...apply to DWP Overseas Healthcare a month before you leave the UK and it should be ready for you.
