We bought a property late last year. We're still living in the UK so we need to pay non residence tax. Can anyone explain how you work this out? TIA

Hi,  it is something to do with the rateable value which you will find in your deeds - you can sort this out by going into Spanish tax forms.co.uk - they will work out what you need to pay. I found it really easy. Hope this helps

I would leave it up to your solicitor...........life is too short for dealing with the complexities of the Spanish tax system.

Hi this is the phone number for Spanish tax UK 0800 0845210 I phoned them and was told they need information of our council tax bill. I think its called IBI. Then they work it out for you. They charge about  £29 per property or they will pay it for you for an extra £12. This is what I was told 2 weeks ago

Thanks everyone. I might just ask our solicitor to sort it out for us this year. Can you tell me when the deadline is for paying NRT? TIA
